A heart for the people…

This weekend we have the great opportunity to hear from Camille Melki, the Director of Heart for Lebanon in Beirut.  The 2006 was in Lebanon left an estimated 800,000 people left in great need.  Camille was led to start a compassion ministry (Heart for Lebanon) bringing relief through providing humanitarian aid, stregthening community development, promoting leadership empowerment, and facilitating proper education.  As time passed more and more needs arose, especially as the war in Iraq broke out forcing many Iraqis to flee to Beirut and leaving them without the basic needs of survival.  Heart for Lebanon responded and they continue to desire to see lives changed and communities transformed.

Camille will be speaking from the parable of the Good Samaritan, weaving in stories of his work in Beirut and challenging us t  be like Christ, reaching out and touching the lives of people around us.  Come ready to worship God and be changed by Him, Sunday, 10:30AM in the Village Chapel.
